PhD Candidate Paul Wolff Mitchell Quoted in National Geographic Magazine

Paul Wolf Mitchell, Anthropology PhD candidate specializing in Biological Anthropology, was recently quoted in National Geographic Magazine regarding his work and research with the Penn Museum's Morton Skull Collection.  In the article, "There's No Scientific Basis fo Race-It's a Made-Up Label," Mitchell discusses Morton's influence and prominance in the formation of racial science. Now considered the father of Scientific Racism, Morton's assertions that humanity consists of biologically distinct races continues to have powerful negative affects on modern society, despite the overwhelming lack of evidence to his findings.
