
Bio
Shriya Amin is a Ben Franklin Fellow pursuing a Ph.D. in Anthropology at the University of Pennsylvania. She specializes in biological anthropology with a concentration in anthropological genetic studies. She is interested in intercultural relationships and interactions between ancient peoples, and how these are reflected in modern genomes. Her work is focused on the population continuity and genetic variation of the people of Imereti, a district in the west-central region of the country of Georgia.
