
Bio
Evan Tims is a cultural anthropology PhD student focusing on water, climate change and social transformations in South Asia. In particular, he works on urban waterscapes in Bengal and the Himalayas. Previously, he spent a year conducting fieldwork in Kolkata, India as a Fulbright-Nehru Scholar and was a 2021-2022 Henry J. Luce Scholar based in Kathmandu, Nepal. He is also interested in experimental ethnography and fiction.
