Bio
Eric is a legal anthropologist and visiting scholar in the Semiotics Lab. After completing his pre-dissertation coursework and oral examination at Penn’s Department of Anthropology, he worked for a number of years as a lawyer in New York and Boston, focusing his practice on tax and estate planning.
As a visiting scholar, Eric is working on a dissertation project that explores formal and informal practices surrounding the disposition of property after death in the U.S.
